How to choose the right duvet for your child
A good night's sleep can be the difference between a day of laughter and fun or a day of tears and frustration. The right duvet can make a difference.
We have 4 different types of duvets here at my copenhagen kid and they all have different qualities.
In short
Bamboo (Okay) : The bamboo duvet is a soft duvet that is slightly firmer than the kapok duvet, providing a little more support due to its airy nature. Bamboo is naturally breathable, hypoallergenic and temperature-regulating, ensuring that your child doesn't end up covered in sweat.
Kapok (Good): Kapok has SO many good qualities. Kapok is temperature regulating, hypoallergenic, organic and sustainable. The kapok duvet is not as "fluffy" as duvets with other fillings.
Duvet with musk down (Premium):
If you dream of a top-class baby duvet, then musk down is a fantastic choice. The duvet is ultra-light, airy and has a natural ability to regulate temperature, so your child sleeps safely and soundly – neither too hot nor too cold. They are produced in Denmark and have the highest certifications.
Duvet with wool (Premium): Exclusive and delicious, delicious duvet with the finest, organic merino wool and with a silky soft and 100% organic cover. Super luxury!

Kapok vs. bamboo – which choice is best for your baby?
Kapok and bamboo are both natural materials that provide good comfort and temperature regulation – but there are differences between them.
The Kapok duvet is for those who do not want to compromise on either sustainability or quality. Kapok is a 100% organic and hypoallergenic natural material that is both lightweight, temperature-regulating and sweat-wicking. It gives your child a dry and comfortable sleep – night after night.
The duvet is not as "fluffy" as other duvets, but on the other hand it is extremely clean and natural. A clear favorite with many parents.
The bamboo duvet from Moonboon is also a great choice – it is soft, breathable and provides a bit more volume and support, as it is a little firmer than the kapok duvet. However, it is only partly made of bamboo (50%) and is mixed with polyfiber (50%), which is a synthetic material. This makes it less natural and sustainable than the kapok duvet.

Musk down vs. merino wool – what should you choose?
If you're looking for a baby duvet with extra luxury, both musk down and merino wool are obvious choices - but they offer slightly different sensations and benefits.
A musk down duvet is ultra-light, airy and silky soft – perfect for children who sleep best with something soft and almost weightless on top of them. Like sleeping with a cloud. Down is known for its amazing insulating properties, and musk down keeps your child warm without overheating.
A wool duvet is slightly heavier and more enveloping, which many children find comforting. Wool is also excellent at regulating temperature and wicking moisture away from the body. It is ideal for warm children or for those who want a natural and breathable solution all year round.
Both are wonderful choices – it's mostly about what your child sleeps best with.

When do you switch to a junior duvet?
When your child is taller than 90 cm, it is time to switch to a junior duvet. A junior duvet is 140 cm long and typically lasts until your child is 120-125 cm tall. After that, your child is so tall that I recommend an adult duvet.
