The bedside crib is a hit among most families with children and an eye-opener that dreams can actually come true - at least if a good night's sleep for both parent and child is what you dream about.

The cradle has an open side that faces your side of the bed, so you can keep your baby close to you all night. It makes it easy to breastfeed and comfort without having to get up during the night.

NOTE: The bed can only be sent for private delivery (curbside) as it is too large for parcel delivery .

Crib, cradle or Babybay?

During my first pregnancy, I had a crib next to our own bed for Sylvester to sleep in. As if. Every time I tried to move him into it after breastfeeding, he woke up and instead ended up lying awkwardly on top of me all night because I couldn't bear to move him, so he woke up.

Although it was nice to have the body contact, it made us both sleep really badly. With a bedside crib I could easily move my little baby back into the cot without her waking up. And it was simply so nice to have her close to me all night, but without us being glued to each other.

How to connect it

You connect the Boxspring bedside crib to the parent's bed with a set of straps, which are included in the package with the bed. See how in the pictures. The straps ensure that the two beds stand completely firm and secure against each other.  If you want to see how to assemble the bed, watch this video .

NOTE: Please check that the straps can be used to mount the bedside crib on your bed and that you do not need an assembly kit. hooks instead. This bed does include some hooks, which we unfortunately do not have in the webshop, but contact us if you need help finding them.

Adjustable side piece

The side piece on this model can be lifted up and down and set in 5 levels. Unlike if you buy a side piece separately for your Boxspring bed, this side piece is fixed and cannot be removed without tools.

When you buy the side piece separately for the regular Boxspring bed, the side piece can be easily removed, but conversely cannot be adjusted to multiple levels, as it can here.

The side piece here is slightly higher (50 cm) than the separate side piece (27 cm).

Side piece at the level of the baby mattress

The side piece will always protrude above the mattress on the Babybay Boxspring Comfort Plus - unless the grid is removed completely. This means that there will be a hard edge (the top of the side piece) between the parent mattress and the baby mattress.
